Last Sunday, Suzanne Gibbons in Kilorglin, Ireland, came across a donkey that was helplessly trapped in a flooded river. The woman posted a request for assistance on the Facebook page of Animal Heaven Animal Rescue (AHAR).
Luckily, Killorglin Rowing Club member Mike Fleming replied and arrived with his boat. Gibblings, who cannot swim, wrote: “He was my final chance and phone call to beg for a boat.” “I could tell right immediately that he had the courage to do it. Just come on, girl, and let’s try it. Don’t be negative.
With the aid of a rope and a lifesaver, the donkey was successfully rescued from the sea. He shocked everyone with a gorgeous smile after being saved! The donkey was only able to escape from his stable because the wind blew open the stable gate, despite having a caring owner and being well-cared for.
