A dog farm in central Thailand that had been abandoned by its owner was reported to Thai authorities. They discovered 13 starving Great Danes in cages when they arrived. The animals were severely malnourished and resembled walking skeletons. The woman and her two puppies unfortunately perished before help arrived.
The careless owner abandoned the house and dogs a few weeks ago, claiming he couldn’t afford to feed them. The dogs had been bred to eat on their own, but when they couldn’t, their owner locked them up in a cage with no food. Volunteers from Guard Dog Thailand removed all of the animals from the house. Because they hadn’t eaten, several dogs were so weak that they couldn’t stand up. The skeletons of the animals were carefully placed into a car and delivered to a local veterinarian.

They were fed for the first time in weeks after inspection and maintenance. Each canine was severely malnourished, but owing to Thailand’s King Rama X, no expense was spared. He offered to take the dogs in and cover the expense of their treatment, food, and anything else they would want as soon as he learnt of the incident.
