IFS Officer Parveen Kaswan posted pictures of the tiger on Twitter. “Did you know that India also has a Golden Tiger? The only record of such a large cat in the twenty-first century on Earth… Look at this beauty,” Kaswan commented, mentioning that Mayuresh Hendre, a wildlife photographer, had taken the snap.

A very rare golden tiger’s images have recently gone viral on social media. The magnificent animal was sighted by Indian wildlife photographer Mayuresh Hendre in Kaziranga, Assam. Rare as they are, golden tigers. Few animals were found in zoos. However, this is the first time they have witnessed one in the wild. Scientists think that the reason for the golden fur and skin of this animal is a recessive gene that is expressed as a result of widespread inbreeding.
