In his article “The Mind of an Octopus,” written for Scientific American Mind, Peter Godfrey-Smith claimed that octopuses are “perhaps the closest we will come to encountering an intelligent alien.”
After rescuing an octopus that had become abandoned on a beach, one family discovers just how human-like the creatures are.
Their YouTube video’s title states, “We spent our holidays at the Red Sea.” “We came across an octopus in the sand while strolling along a deserted beach. He may already be dead, but we weren’t sure. We consequently forced him back into the ocean.
They believed that was the last time they would ever see the octopus, but the following day they discovered that this was not the case.
He needed a few minutes to rest before swimming away. We went for a walk on the same beach the following day, according to the caption. We spotted a shadow in the water moving extremely swiftly toward us as we were strolling along the beach. It was the octopus we saved the day before! He was aware of us!
In addition to recognizing them, the octopus appeared to be fond of the family and appreciative of their efforts to save him.
He followed us for a considerable amount of time as we strolled along the beach and continuously made an attempt to touch our feet, according to the caption. “This Octopus came back to thank us for sparing his life, we’re positive. Animal intelligence is astounding.
Animal intelligence is a given! It would be absurd to assume that humans are the only creature with knowledge and emotions given the millions of other species that are alive today. All of these species, whether you believe in God or science, were created by the same act and placed on this planet.
This family determined that they would never eat octopus again after meeting the creature, whom they called Kurt.
