On a walk near a Yangtze River bridge in Wuhan, China, someone captured these tragic photos. They immediately gained popularity online. They display the devoted dog who patiently awaited his owner for several days after the man killed himself by diving into the river.

Xu, a resident of China, discovered the canine. In an effort to get the puppy adopted, he posted the images online, but the dog was able to get away.

The dog is currently being sought for, and Du Fan, director of the Wuhan Small Animal Protection League, is collaborating with volunteers to do so. In addition, he urged anyone who saw the dog to get in touch with him right away.

Share this tragic story with your family and friends and send some love and prayers for this poor little soul.
