It is not uncommon to see newlyweds and couples walking hand in hand on the beach. They adore their partners and treasure every moment they spend with them. Small gestures such as hugging and hand-holding express a special affection for the other half. Their hearts are filled with love and joy.
An old video of a penguin couple walking along a South African beach holding hands recently went viral again. Any lonely soul would be envious of this romantic scene. Some people make amusing remarks about why these sea creatures can’t find partners. As I read these amusing comments, I can’t stop laughing.
The couple walks next to each other. They even take a brief pause to exchange glances. For a few moments, time seems to stand still. Nature and animals soften even the most difficult parts of our hearts. Happiness, as it turns out, is simple.
Norma Landeros-Ramirez captured these lovely moments while on her honeymoon with her husband. They were taken aback by the thoughtful gesture of the penguin couple. The newlyweds hoped that they, like the penguins, would be able to spend peaceful days together.
“Because my husband and I are newlyweds, I wanted to see the penguins because I had heard that they keep one partner for life,” Norma explained.
As you may know, penguins are extremely loyal birds. The bond between men and women is extremely strong. During mating season, gentoos, the most devoted and monogamous penguin species, almost always pair up with the same partner.
