The white lion, which only occasionally occurs, has an entirely white coat as a result of a genetic color mutation. They are not albinos, though! There are currently 100 lions in captivity and only 13 lions living in the wild. Four white lions came at this zoo in eastern China just one month ago! The cubs may be seen in photos taken by the Chinese zoo playing together in the forest, eating, and even posing for the camera. The cubs are healthy and developing quickly, according to the Nantong Forest Safari Park. On December 26, one month after their birth, they were prepared to make their debut in front of the public. Only 13 white lions remain in the wild, compared to 100 that are housed in captivity, as was previously claimed. These stunning creatures are not acknowledged as a distinct species, according to the Global White Lion Conservation Foundation. The white lion is not even designated as an endangered species, in addition to its rarity. As a result, there is no legal protection for these animals.
On their website, a staff member of the Global White Lion Conservation Foundation published something. Panthera leo is the scientific name for white lions, which means that if trade in these animals is not properly regulated, they may go extinct in the future.
