To Make the Rescued Elephant Feel Safe, The Caretaker Snuggles Up to Him

Here, at an animal refuge and rescue facility in Thailand, a large elephant snoozes to the sound of a woman singing. The animal can first be seen standing up in the video, which was recorded by a staff member at the Elephant Nature Park, which is located in the Mae Taeng District in the Chiang Mai Province. Even though these elephants have seen great adversity in their life, the fact that they can open up to a caring carer genuinely demonstrates their loving nature.

According to the sanctuary, the woman named Lek has somewhat of a pleasant rapport with the elephant called Faamai and has been helping her get to sleep for years. Lek sings quietly as she approaches the animal in the video, and the animal responds by hugging her tightly with her long trunk. The woman walks about the mammal while singing and then uses a piece of cloth to bat insects out of her eyes.

The elephant slowly sags to her knees and then collapses on the ground from exhaustion.
