When An Elephant That Is 73 Years Old Is Released from Captivity, Tears Seen Streaming Down Her Face

Animals have no voice. This might be the cause of some animals’ mistreatment, both domesticated and wild. They also deserve a regular life because they are living things. Wild animals view them as belonging in the wild rather than in filthy, cramped cages. It is really cruel and inhumane to keep them in prison!

An elephant named Sook Jai, who is 73 years old, goes through that awful life. She spent the majority of her life in captivity and endured physical and mental abuse. When she was set free, the robust enormous animal was worn out.

Sook Jai spent her entire life in captivity being sold to many owners. She was made to perform a variety of tasks, including begging on the streets and working in tourism excursions. With age, this had a devastating effect on her health. The elephant eventually lost much of her hearing and her vision.

It’s a heartbreaking tale. Never should wild animals be handled in such a cruel way. They prefer living in the wild even if they could encounter hazards from the environment (and humans).

Fortunately, Elephant Nature Park, an elephant rescue and rehabilitation facility in Northern Thailand, was able to save Sook Chai in time. She was moved to the sanctuary, where she could spend tranquil and unwinding days.

Later, the zoo’s personnel discovered numerous wounds on the ancient elephant’s body and head. They provide as proof that she suffered maltreatment throughout her life. She resisted eating since she was so weak and worn out. The poor thing had no idea that she would be saved and given another chance at life.

The rescue team made every effort to keep the elephant at ease throughout the arduous journey. When it was cold, they kept the truck warm, and when it was hot, they cooled the animal.

Sook Chai appeared to be able to feel their generosity and genuineness. The elderly elephant cried. Her tears were observed by zoo staff as they fell down her face. Everyone’s hearts were broken by this exquisitely sad scene. Although saving animals is never an easy task, the effort is always worthwhile. Finally, these poor creatures will be able to enjoy their normal lives.

They recorded those heartwarming moments and posted the video online. It has captivated the interest of millions of people worldwide. Their hearts were deeply affected by it.

The Video:

In the video description, they shared:

“Sook Jai was lucky enough to be found by a caring soul who wanted to help to change her life. She was twice lucky when Joan Baez chose to help SookJai live cr.uelty-free for the rest of her life.”
